The system will look through a list of criteria to see whether tickets have one or more flags. Many of these flags are fixable within Interact, and should be fixed as soon as possible, as Interact tickets are cannot be fixed after they are billed; at which point the errors become permanent.

Warning

Ticket flags can drastically change summary reports. If a row has too many flags, it is possible, and likely, that the numbers displayed are incorrect.

Fixing most flags is easily done in Interact by editing a ticket or job. After fixing or editing anything, you will need to synchronize to see the changes reflected.

These are flags that directly impact the calculated durations within the GPA.

Warning

Time flags and inaccurately calculated ticket durations significantly change the usefulness of the GPA. Ticket durations are used to calculate rates, travel time, hourly estimates, and much more.

For example, let’s imagine a truck with 8 tickets on one day with the same time flag. These tickets will have a duration of zero. So the truck will have “credit” for only the travel time, let’s say 1 hour. If the truck’s target rate is $90/hr, the GPA will calculate the truck should have been paid $90 for the day. If the truck was paid $100 per ticket, it will get $800. This means for this day, the truck will be listed as earning $800/hr which is nearly 9 times the target, and clearly incorrect.

If we fixed the flags, and assume every ticket took an hour, the truck will have worked for 9 hours total, and the target would be $810, which is almost spot on for what the truck earned.

Incorrect Time

Tickets are flagged when the end time is after the start time. This flag often is found together with Time is Negative.

Same Time

Both end time and start time are identical. This can lead to ticket duration being zero.

Time Discrepancy

This is shown when a ticket duration exceeds 24 hours. This primarily happens when there is an error inputting the dates. There have been instances where the end and start time are a year apart (e.g. Start: 02/13/2024 end: 02/13/2025), this likely was simply a typo, but would lead to very problematic time calculations in the GPA.

Time is Negative

Usually happens when the end time is before the start time on the ticket, but can also happen if adjacent tickets have errors. See Time Calculations.

Overlapping

Sometimes, tickets will have times that overlap. If these are tickets that should be bundled (see Bundling) then one or more of the tickets need to be edited to meet the bundling conditions. However, if the ticket should not be bundled, then it is likely that the times on this ticket, or the one overlapping, are wrong.

Mass flags

Mass flags are shown on individual tickets even though the cause is not cause by the information on the ticket directly. Since the root issue of these flags is outside the ticket a single flag can cause tens or hundreds of flags. For example, a single job without a location will raise a flag on every single ticket assigned to that job, but fixing the job will delete all of them at once, hence their name mass flags.

Same To and From

The start and end location for the ticket is the same. This can be easily fixed by adding the location to either the ticket, or the job.

No Salesperson

The job for which the ticket is assigned does not have a sales representative.

Unknown Cost

The service or material listed in the ticket cannot be found from the cost list at the pickup or drop off location. This flag is only visible to administrators and they can click the flag and input the requested information to update the cost book.

Incorrect Quantity

Tickets have two quantities: what is on the ticket (actual quantity), and another based on how the service/material is purchased (display quantity). For the vast majority of tickets, this is the same!

On some rare instances the above is not true. In those instances, GPA will try to convert the quantities on the ticket to what it expects the unit to be. If this conversion fails, you’ll get a number that looks incorrect (e.g. 0.0002 tons).

The conversion failing is the entire reason this flag exists. If you come across any tickets with this flag, please report them directly to Carlos.

Other flags

No Pay

The ticket does not have any payable freight. This is sometimes intended but should be verified in case an error was made.

Prop load

The exact criteria for a prop load is as follows:

  • Start and end time are on different days
  • Job duration is greater than 8 hours
  • Ticket start time is in the afternoon (after 12pm)

Any ticket that matches the above will be flagged as a prop load. If the ticket is a prop load, then no action is necessary, however, if the ticket is not a prop load, it is likely that there is an error that needs to be fixed.
